Psalm 133

O how good it is, and pleasant,

When the saints in union dwell:

Tis as dew, of sundrenched morning,

Glist’ning o’er the peaceful dell.

Like the precious ointment cov’ring

Our dear Saviour’s holy head,

Is our ev’ry meditation

By the truth and Spirit led?

Yes, ‘tis fair as starlit evening,

When saints walk in peace and love,

And their quiet conversations

Soar to hallowed things above.

Like the oil that touched the pure lips

Of our Aaron’s glorious face,

So then we, as Jesus’ brethren,

Should sing forth God’s love and grace.

O sweet oil – God’s Spirit flowing

from the head, to face and feet:

All our thoughts, and words and conduct,

By God’s grace, a three-fold suite.

Thus, in union with the Saviour -

Harmonizing with each saint,

We, with brush of priestly virtues,

On life’s canvas, Jesus paints.
